Is it possible to find a mountain and farmstead getaway, only 2 1/2 hours from Washington, DC? Yes, it is, at our Blue Knob Farm, a vacation home attached to an actual working hay and small grain farm. We have been in the vacation home business a combined 25 years and believe our Blue Knob Farm is a rare find, a true 'get away'. Why? Unlike many country homes or B&Bs, you and your family will have the vacation home and farmstead to yourselves. Enjoy 130 acres of mountain forest and meadow. Enjoy spectacular views from the top of our ridge. And, if you want more space, the farm is only five miles from Pennsylvania's second highest mountain, Blue Knob, which is a large state park complete with hiking and biking trails, hunting, skiing, and a state swimming pool open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. And if you want dining and shopping, we are but 12 miles from colonial-era Bedford, PA.

Details: The farm house sleeps 10 and is for rent, which includes 3 Bedrooms, 2 bath, large country kitchen, private living room (with sleeper couch), enclosed porch (with futon), large front porch. In addition:

-board games/cards/horse shoes

Rates: Weekends (2 night minimum) $150 per night; weekly rates $800/for 7 days, Friday to Friday. Three night minimum and special rates apply for Holidays and Christmas-New Years week. Occupancy limit: TEN
